You are accessing over a decade of clinical history. This dataset captures nearly every UCSF Plastic Surgery procedure performed between 2011 and 2025.
The database encompasses over 20,000 unique patients and 33,800 primary surgical cases. Because patient care extends far beyond the operating room, these index cases are structurally linked to 17.3 million longitudinal records—capturing surrounding clinical encounters, diagnoses, medications, procedure orders, labs, vitals, and coverage across the health system.
How to use this platform: Start with Cohort Overview, then move to counts, measurements, trends, or events around surgery. The main menu shows the most useful workflows; specialized methods are kept under Advanced Tools. The Write Code workspace uses a simplified python data science library while returning only protected cohort summaries and aggregate tables.
